- Lance Henriksen had a custom-made dental prosthesis created to give him a more "rustic" look. The actor selected all of his own wardrobe and props, including a pump-action shotgun from World War II, a hat, and silver dollars that his character gives to Haggis.
- The costume worn by Haggis, played by Florence Shauffler, weighed almost 30 kg.
- The dog named Mushroom performed all of his own stunts – just as he did in Joe Dante’s fantastical horror-comedy film 'Gremlins' (1984).
