Short description
As a small-town girl catapults from underground video sensation to global superstar, she and her three sisters begin a one-in-a-million journey of discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden. Four aspiring musicians will take the world by storm when they see that the key to creating your own destiny lies in finding your own voice.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Aubrey Peoples sings herself in the film.
  • Samantha Newark and Britta Phillips, who participated in the voice acting of the cartoon series “Jem” (1985-1988), played the episodic roles of the hairdresser and assistant director.
  • The film was released on the 30th anniversary of the debut of the animated series "Jem".
  • Originally, it was intended to be an animated film.
  • Erica Raymond, played by Juliette Lewis, is the female embodiment of Eric Raymond, the main antagonist in the animated series "Jem" (1985-1988).
  • The majority of the audience at the concerts in the film consisted of fans of the animated series specifically invited for this purpose.
  • In one episode of the film, Jem mentions "synergy of the show." In the animated series "Jem" (1985-1988), this phrase was used to activate holograms that transformed Jerrica Benton into a superstar.
  • Early script versions included holographic characters and a plot developed in the atmosphere of the original series, but this was abandoned in favor of greater realism.
  • Stephanie Scott and Hayley Kiyoko dyed their hair orange and blue-green, while Aubrey Peoples and Aurora Perrino wore pink and purple wigs.
  • Singer and actress Ariana Grande and her producer Scooter Braun played minor roles in one episode, but footage of them was not included in the final version of the film (it can only be found on DVD and Blu-ray).
