- To be ready for filming, the actors playing the animal-men were forced to come in for makeup application at 3 a.m.
- During the fight between the bull-man and the tiger, the predator grabbed the stuntman's head with its jaws, but fortunately, he was wearing a protective helmet.
- The film was released approximately 81 years after the publication of the novel of the same name (1896) by Herbert George Wells (1866-1946).
- In the 1980s, the new wave rock band Oingo Boingo, with ska elements, performed a song called “No Spill Blood,” based on this film.
