What's left behind the scenes

  • During location shooting in the Philippines, a helicopter rented by Cannon Film Group from the Philippine Armed Forces crashed in the bay. Four people died in the crash, and five more were injured to varying degrees.
  • When Colonel Braddock, played by Chuck Norris, is in Thailand, traffic is shown driving on the right side of the road, whereas in reality it drives on the left in Thailand.
  • Chuck Norris threatened to sue Cannon for what he believed was insufficient effort put into the film's advertising campaign, which he considered at the time to be the strongest film of his career.
