What's left behind the scenes
- Director Steven Lance deliberately kept actors Emmanuelle Béart and Harrison Gilbertson apart. The actors rehearsed all scenes, even joint ones, individually with the director. Béart and Gilbertson only met on the set in front of the camera. Lance believed that this was the only way to authentically portray the development of the relationship between the characters.
