Short description
A woman who is robbed on her way to catch the 1:30 train to Boston is left stranded in New York City. She meets a man who helps her during the course of the night and the two form a romance.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Chris Evans' directorial debut.
  • As Chris Evans admitted in an interview, one of the reasons Alice Eve was cast in the lead role was her British origin. The filmmakers initially believed that the heroine should speak with a British accent. However, Eve, who was eventually cast in the lead role, still played an American.
  • At one point during pre-production, specifically in 2008, the film was planned to be directed by Joel Schumacher and star Monica Bellucci. The film was to be called «Train at Half Past Two».
  • Producer Mark Kassen, who played one of the roles, was the director and one of the actors in «The Fix» (2011), which also starred Chris Evans.
  • When talking about Carrie, Alice Eve means Carrie Bradshaw, a fictional character and the main heroine of the series "Sex and the City", its two film sequels, and the youth prequel series. Eve even starred in Michael Patrick King's "Sex and the City 2" (2010).
  • Chris Evans wanted to learn to play the trumpet and play it himself in the corresponding episodes at the station. When it turned out that this wasn't such a simple task, Evans decided to just memorize the finger movements to hit the notes of the melodies he was supposedly playing.
