Hastings added that the company is specifically looking for unconventional plots like this one. The film's director, Baran bo Odar, and producers, Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann, are now working on creating Germany's first streaming film production company. The German series "Dark," about four families united by a terrifying secret, directed by bo Odar, is scheduled to premiere in 2017.
