What's left behind the scenes
- The film was shot without a detailed script. The emphasis during filming was placed on improvisation.
- Abbas Kiarostami filmed all the actors separately, either seated in the driver's seat or the passenger seat of a car. The director involved the actors – none of whom were professionals – in conversation and recorded their responses.
- Initially, the film was to be titled «Journey to Dawn».
