• Stephen Lang wore contact lenses during filming, but they severely limited his vision, especially in poor lighting. Other actors also wore contact lenses for scenes with similar lighting, resulting in impaired vision that appeared as dilated pupils.
• Exterior shots of the house were filmed in Detroit. Interior shots were filmed in the Hungarian town of Pomáz, near Budapest.
• The safe combination is 2978. This is the birthday of director Federico Álvarez – February 9, 1978.
• The street where the blind man lives is called Buena Vista, which translates from Spanish as "beautiful view".
• Throughout the film, the character played by Steven Lang speaks only 13 lines, and mostly towards the end.
• Initially, the ending was planned to be more bleak. Rocky (Jane Levy) was not supposed to escape from the house. The blind man (Steven Lang) locked her in the basement, and the police who were called did not notice the basement door. However, it was ultimately decided to let Rocky and Norman survive.
• At the end of the film, the heroine, while fleeing from the blind man, loses her bag near the car. In the next shot, the bag disappears next to the car, and then reappears.
