Short description
As a math savant uncooks the books for a new client, the Treasury Department closes in on his activities and the body count starts to rise.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The main character uses a large-caliber Barrett sniper rifle.
  • Anna Kendrick took many of her character's traits from her own mother. Her mother actually worked as an accountant at the time, and to help her daughter better get into the role, she specifically taught her the basics of accounting.
  • The film's screenplay appeared on the "Black List" of 2011 – a list of the most promising, but unrealized screenplays.
  • This is the second joint project for Anna Kendrick and J.K. Simmons. They previously starred together in Jason Reitman's tragicomedy 'Up in the Air' (2009).
  • The trailer for the film features the song 'Everything in its Right Place' by the British band Radiohead from their fourth studio album, Kid A (2000). The same song opens the soundtrack to Cameron Crowe's 'Vanilla Sky' (2001) starring Tom Cruise.
