- The producer's name is misspelled in the opening credits of the film – Konstantin Ernst.
- Once, the film's screenwriter and author of the novel it’s based on, Sergei Lukyanenko, suggested creating a parody of his own film. A 'translation' into Russian from Russian, titled 'Night Bazaar' (2005), was prepared by Alexander Bachilo and voiced by the well-known voice-over artist Leonid Volodarsky. Despite the fact that Dmitry Puchkov (Goblin) was not involved in this project and has no connection to it, the DVD cover stated 'special ('Goblin') translation.' However, the word 'Goblin' was written in quotation marks and parentheses, and in lowercase. Thus, the commercial department of 'ORT-Video' wanted to emphasize that they did not use the 'Goblin' brand to increase the project’s popularity, but wrote it that way because the name had become a household word.
- At the 45th minute of the film, if you look closely at the blurry background, you can see that it is none other than Rembrandt’s painting 'The Night Watch'.
- ‘Night Watch’ actively uses product placement. The revenue generated reached half a million dollars.
- In 2010, the British magazine Empire published a list of the 100 greatest non-English language films in the history of cinema. 'Night Watch' (2004) took 100th place on it.

- At the 34th minute of the film, Geser calls Tolik asking him to find out about future events in Moscow. Tolik finds information about the crash of an Il-86 aircraft, flight "Moscow-Antalya", which fell 10 km from Vnukovo (according to the film's script). The screen of Tolik's computer shows real images of the actual crash of the Il-86 of Pulkovo Airlines (registration number 86060), which occurred in Sheremetyevo in July 2002.
