- Bingham was named in honor of Mark Bingham, a player and founder of San Francisco Fog, who died in the September 11th attacks. A rugby tournament in his honor is held every two years.
- A total of 21 years were spent preparing for the filming.
- To prepare for the role, Sean Faris ran 10 kilometers twice a day in 40-degree heat.
