Short description
In Moscow in 1983, an American journalist interviews Guy Bennett, who recalls his last year at public school, fifty years before, and how it contributed to him becoming a spy.
What's left behind the scenes
- A loose adaptation of the early life story of Guy Burgess, a key member of the so-called “Cambridge Five” (a network of Soviet agents recruited at Cambridge University in the 1930s) who defected to the USSR in 1951. Even the death of Guy Bennett’s father (played by Rupert Everett), as he recounted to the character played by Cary Elwes, was exactly as it happened with Burgess’s father.
