What's left behind the scenes
- Filming took place at the Eloise Hospital itself. Construction of the actual psychiatric hospital began in Westland, Michigan in 1832. It started as a single building, but the clinic quickly expanded into a complex of 78 buildings and included its own fire and police stations, a train station, a post office, and farms. The hospital closed in 1982 and has since been used for various purposes, such as a homeless shelter and offices.
