- Considering that Ginger Rogers' (1911-1995) legs were insured for $500,000, they were further protected during the filming of the brawl scene with boards attached to them and soft padding. Shortly after completing work on this film, G.K. Potter (1904-1977) was to begin filming 'The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle' (1939), and the RKO film company could not allow the actress who was to star in it to be injured.
