Short description
Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.
What's left behind the scenes
- The film's release, originally planned for February 17, 2017, was moved to January 12, 2018, due to an injury sustained by Dylan O'Brien in March 2016 while filming the opening chase scene. The actor had to be hospitalized, and filming was halted.
- The film used the take during which Dylan O'Brien suffered a head injury (this is when his character jumps out of the window of a moving train car).
- The film features a scene where Teresa and Ava introduce the board members to certain data. The only board member who doesn't say a word throughout the entire scene is James Dashner, the author of the book series on which the franchise's films are based.
