• Filming began in May 2008 at Ealing Studios in London. Outdoor scenes were shot in the forests of Surrey, in southern England.
• The film was originally scheduled for release in May 2009, but due to the crisis at the studio, a decision was made to postpone the release date by several months.
• Filming progressed faster than planned.
• Before starting work on the screenplay, J. Blakeyson, James McCarthy, and James Watkins joined a rescue team in Yorkshire.
• In the film, Greg finds a camera with traces of blood. When he reviews it, he sees six girls from the film 'The Descent'. The filmmakers could have used footage from the first film, but instead decided it would be more interesting to invite all the girls back to shoot these few scenes.
