What's left behind the scenes

  • Funding for the filming was raised through the crowdfunding platform IndieGoGo.
  • The entire cast decided at the last moment to cast aside their 'prejudices' for the main climactic scene.
  • Filming took place in Unionville, Ontario, where the pilot episode of Gilmore Girls was also shot.
  • A blizzard began in the midst of filming, changing autumn to winter overnight. As a result, the film crew had to avoid outdoor scenes that still needed to be shot.
  • All the houses shown in the film are actually within walking distance of each other.
  • The scenes inside Union Station in Toronto were filmed in a "guerrilla style": only Jewel Staite, director Jeremy LaLonde, and cinematographer D. Gregor Hagi were on set.
  • The film was shot in 18 days.
  • For certain scenes, Ennis Esmer had to wear a special device. Director Jeremy LaLonde told him it was for blocking purposes, but in reality, he did it just for fun.
  • The entire cast decided at the last moment to abandon their "preconceptions" for the main climactic scene.
  • The scenes inside Union Station in Toronto were filmed in a "guerrilla style": only Jewel State, director Jeremy Lalonde, and cinematographer D. Gregor Hage were on set.
