Short description
An American girl on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered "letter to Juliet" -- one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover's Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by the "secretaries of Juliet" -- and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.
What's left behind the scenes
- Hugh Dancy was originally supposed to play one of the roles, but was replaced by Gael García Bernal.
- To film the movie, the inner courtyard of Juliet's House had to be closed for two days, and the filmmakers had to persuade the Verona authorities to do so for three months.
- Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero are husband and wife in real life.
