Charlize Theron was originally supposed to play the role of Eliza.

Filming on boats through the Venetian canals lasted for seven nights. To film this part of the movie, Jolie even learned to operate several types of boats.
All of Jolie’s clothing was handmade and created specifically for her – with the exception of one vintage grey dress by Charles James (1950s).
