As a result, the filmmakers decided to cancel the premiere in the United States. On February 4, 2017, the American Humane Association (founded in 1877 with the goal of ensuring the safety and well-being of animals) issued a statement. It stated that the footage in question had simply been poorly edited and that no animals had been harmed or mistreated during filming.
