What's left behind the scenes
- The apartment where Stenland lives was modeled after a similarly unappealing space where Jeremy Catalino lived while working on the first draft of the film's screenplay. This building is located on Gardner Street in Los Angeles.
- Billy Ocean declined a cameo role in which he was to play himself. The Anglo-Caribbean musician, one of the most distinctive figures in pop music of the 1980s, was played by Julian Christopher.
