What's left behind the scenes
- Due to a limited budget, the film crew could not afford filming permits, so many scenes had to be shot without permission and quickly.
- The plot is based on the story of Daniel Burros, an American Jew who joined the American Nazi Party, but soon left and then joined the Ku Klux Klan. He committed suicide in 1965 at the age of 28 when news of his Jewish origin became public.
