What's left behind the scenes
- Filming took place under strict secrecy in various districts of Moscow, including at facilities of the Ministry of Defense with the involvement of the latest military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces.
- Initially, Fyodor Bondarchuk planned to be only the producer of the film, but as he worked on the project, he became so engrossed that he decided to take on the direction as well.
- Even before filming began, all members of the film crew, without exception, signed non-disclosure agreements. For the first time in domestic cinema, mobile phones were prohibited on the set, and the cameras on them were covered with special opaque stickers.
- Producers Mikhail Vrubelev and Alexander Andryushchenko of the film company 'Hydrogen' shared the idea for 'Attraction' with Fyodor Bondarchuk while filming the family comedy 'The Ghost,' where Bondarchuk played the lead role of pilot Yuri Gordeev.
- Most of the filming took place in the Severnoe Chertanovo district, where the main character's house, the school, and the streets were filmed.
- The project will be the fourth Russian film translated into IMAX format, following "Stalingrad," "The Crew," and "The Duelist."
- Thanks to the sale of rights for foreign releases, the film recouped its costs even before its release in Russian theaters.
- During filming, actor Alexander Petrov cut his leg with glass and damaged his tendons. He was then forced to film with a cast and use a stunt double.

Over the first week of release, preliminary data shows the film grossed 413.4 million rubles, achieving the fifth-best result among Russian films.
- The graffiti in "The Attraction" was created by Oleg Basket and Misha Most. Basket is one of the first graffiti artists and a pioneer of the hip-hop movement in Russia. Basket’s most famous works decorate iconic districts of Moscow – for example, Khokhlovka, and more recently, Severnoe Chertanovo. Most is an artist and graffiti writer, a member of the "Why" team, curator of projects dedicated to street art.
- The casting for "The Attraction" lasted almost a year, and hundreds of young actors were considered.
- Irina Starshenbaum, the lead actress, came to daytime shoots for "The Attraction" immediately after night shoots for another film, catching only a nap along the way. A doctor was assigned to her on set to monitor the actress’s well-being.
- When Oleg Menshikov agreed to star in "The Attraction," Fyodor Bondarchuk didn't immediately believe it. Working with actor Menshikov, who is known for being selective about his roles, had long been a dream of director Bondarchuk.
- The sound design for the film "Attraction" was done by New Zealander Dave Whitehead ("King Kong", "The Hobbit", "District 9"). His previous work was the science fiction blockbuster "Arrival".
- Domestic military equipment was used in the filming: APCs, helicopters, robots, drones, and even the heavy aircraft-carrying missile cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov".
- Active military personnel from the Navy, Aerospace Forces, Ground Forces, EMERCOM, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs were invited as consultants during the preparation of the film.
- Approximately 1.5 years were spent working on the effects. The most challenging moment was considered to be the spacecraft's fall.
- A three-story set of a real Chertanovo prefabricated building was constructed in the pavilion, which was destroyed as a result of the spacecraft's fall.
- Oleg Menshikov's character drives a Russian multi-purpose high-mobility vehicle, the 'Tiger' (based on GAZ), while children are taken to school in 'Typhoon' vehicles (based on Ural).
- For the first time, filmmakers were allowed to shoot on the aircraft carrier 'Admiral Kuznetsov,' where the crew filmed fighter jet flybys, which can be seen at the beginning of the film. Hero of Russia, test pilot Oleg Mutovin, participated in the filming.
