Short description
Two sisters on Mexican vacation are trapped in a shark observation cage at the bottom of the ocean, with oxygen running low and great whites circling nearby, they have less than an hour of air left to figure out how to get to the surface.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Most of the underwater filming took place at The Underwater Studio in Basildon, UK.
  • Mandy Moore and Claire Holt specifically took scuba diving lessons.
  • Finely chopped broccoli was added to the aquarium water to make it appear cloudy and full of microorganisms living at the bottom. According to Mandy Moore, it became unpleasant after a while – 'it was like filming in soup'.
  • James Van Der Beek played the role of Lisa's friend, Stuart. He even filmed some scenes with Mandy Moore, but all of these scenes were cut during editing, so Stuart is only mentioned in the film.
  • Finely chopped broccoli was added to the pool water to make it appear murky and full of microorganisms living at the bottom. According to Mandy Moore, it became unpleasant after a while – "it was like filming in soup."
