What's left behind the scenes

  • Producer Beatrice Bodegas mortgaged her own house to raise the funds needed for the film's production.
  • The voice of the character played by Manolo Solo was invented during a break between rehearsals when the actors were just fooling around, but director Raúl Arévalo liked it so much that he asked Solo to speak that way on set.
  • Developing the project took 8 years because director and one of the scriptwriters, Raúl Arevalo, had a clear idea of the actors he needed for the film, insisted on shooting only on 16mm film, which is more expensive, and refused to change anything in the plot to make it more mainstream. Work on the film began only after Arevalo and producer Beatriz Bodegas collaborated on the comedy "Unexpected Life" (Jorge Torregrossa, 2013).
