What's left behind the scenes
- The film used 125 puppets, and 40 of them were made specifically for the shoot. All the sets were designed to make it convenient for the puppeteers to operate the marionettes. The floors were made two-tiered for the convenience of the actors.
- The tall man in the photograph in Detective Edwards’ apartment is the film’s director, Brian Henson.
- Some of the puppets in the film were borrowed from Henson’s previous works, such as 'Animal Planet' (1994) or 'Kermit the Frog: Years in the Swamp' (2002).
