As Sean leaves the police station, we see his car approaching a T-intersection and preparing to turn, but Sergeant Stevens continues to watch 'after' Kane's car from the police station window, following it almost to the horizon.
The producers initially wanted to cast André the Giant as the Professor, believing that Toru Tanaka, at 180 cm, was not tall enough to play the role. Ultimately, they decided that Tanaka himself would be more convincing on screen (and, moreover, his fee would be smaller and there would be no scheduling conflicts), so they decided to film with him, instructing him to wear platform shoes.
