- Only Anna Faris and Regina Hall appeared in all four installments of the franchise.
- This is the first film in the series shot in high definition.
- A scene parodying Peter Jackson's 'King Kong' is present in the film's trailer, but it was not included in the theatrical release. King Kong is also depicted on the film's poster.
- The filmmakers recreated the interiors of many of the films they were parodying so accurately that they were even approached by the producers of 'Saw III' to use the bathroom set.
- Initially, it was planned to insert a parody of 'House of Wax' (2005) at the beginning of the film and invite Paris Hilton and Elisha Cuthbert, who starred in that film, to participate in the scene. However, this idea was abandoned, as were plans to parody 'Flightplan' (2005) and 'The Pack' (2005).
