Short description
In 1976, four hijackers take over an Air France airplane en route from Tel Aviv to Paris and force it to land in Entebbe, Uganda. With 248 passengers on board, one of the most daring rescue missions ever is set in motion.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Many scenes of the film were shot at Malta International Airport, located near the municipality of Luca. Literally the day after filming ended, a Libyan plane hijacked by terrorists landed near the set. The criminals had mock grenades and pistols.
  • The events depicted in the film have been covered in other films, but not quite in the same way— "Victory at Entebbe" (Marvin J. Chomsky, 1976), "Raid on Entebbe" (Irvin Kershner, 1976), and "Operation Jonathan" (Menachem Golan, 1977).
