Short description
Fin and his wife April travel around the world to save their young son who's trapped inside a sharknado.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The doctors in the film have the surnames Wobbegong, Angel, and Bramble. In reality, these are the names of shark species – the wobbegong, the sea angel, and the starspotted smooth-hound.
  • When Dr. Angel, played by Geraldo Rivera, opens the safe and finds nothing inside, he says he was sure he would find a drink there. This is a reference to Rivera's special report, "The Mystery of Al Capone's Vault," from April 1986. Rivera broadcast live for several hours from the excavation site where, according to his information, Al Capone (1899-1947) had hidden something (at best valuables, at worst – a corpse). The only find was an empty liquor bottle. Meanwhile, the report received one of the highest Nielsen ratings in television history (a system for measuring the audience size of television programs in the USA).
