What's left behind the scenes
- Emma Thompson stated that she refuses to appear in this sequel to Richard Curtis' tragicomedy 'Love Actually' (2003), as too little time has passed since the death of Alan Rickman (1946-2016), who played her husband in the first film.
- Some characters from the first film did not appear in the sequel due to time limitations. According to director Richard Curtis, his daughters were very upset that they would not see Chris Marshall, who played Colin, in the sequel.
