• The film was shot on the island of Mallorca.
• Rebel Wilson liked the house on the Riviera, created for Anne Hathaway's character so much that after filming she bought a lot of furniture for it.
• According to Anne Hathaway, she deliberately tried not to speak with a normal British accent in the film. According to her, the public was well aware that she was American, and the public might not like her getting characters of British origin. So, considering that her character Josephine is a fraudster, the actress spoke as if Josephine was not actually English, but simply trying to speak like one.
• According to Anne Hathaway, her character's improvised phrase 'That was very unexpected' has its roots in the past, when her father mistakenly took the wrong medicine, and then fell in the bathroom and hit his head.
