- The filming of the actors performing the song "Express Yourself" was preceded by only 4 hours of rehearsals.
- In the scene near the police station, the building where the series "Friends" (1994-2004) was filmed can be seen in the background.
- Preliminary screenings showed that focus groups really enjoyed the musical numbers, so director Todd Strauss-Schulson decided to film a complex musical number with dancing for the entire cast for the film's finale.
