• A week before filming began, everyone was sure that Jean-Claude Van Damme would play the role of Jacques, but the actor was unreachable and didn’t show up, so the director preferred to replace him with Kevin Bacon.
• Rainn Wilson joined the project thanks to the warm relationship Jenna Fischer maintained with her ex-husband, James Gunn. Gunn discussed the script with her, asked her to take a look, and sent her a copy. Fischer read the script, liked it, and decided that Wilson would be perfect for the lead role. This all happened while working on the TV series "The Office" (2005-2013). She gave Wilson the script to read, and he immediately agreed to participate in the project.
