The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Pat Mills and Tony Skinner.
This is Michael Jai White's third film based on comics. The first two were 'Spawn' (1997) and 'Dark Knight' (2008).
Michael Jai White and David Palmer previously voiced characters together in the animated series 'Static Shock' (2000 – 2004).
