Short description
Disaster strikes when a criminal mastermind reveals the identities of all active undercover agents in Britain. The secret service can now rely on only one man - Johnny English. Currently teaching at a minor prep school, Johnny springs back into action to find the mysterious hacker. For this mission to succeed, he’ll need all of his skills - what few he has - as the man with yesterday’s analogue methods faces off against tomorrow’s digital technology.
What's left behind the scenes
- Rowan Atkinson's character drives the actor's car again in the film – this time an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Atkinson purchased it only six months before filming began.
- Emma Thompson's involvement was kept strictly confidential during filming. Her participation in the project (she played a supporting role) became known only from the promotional trailer.
- The only film in the franchise where the end credits are not overlaid with a continuation of the storyline.
- During the dance, Rowan Atkinson's character performed the signature moves of Mr. Bean.
- When Rowan Atkinson and Ben Miller portray musicians, Atkinson plays “My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean” off-key. This is a traditional Scottish folk song that is very popular outside of Scotland and is quite likely the only Scottish song he knows.
