Short description
When a father is forced to abruptly depart for work, he leaves his children, Aidan and Mia, at their holiday home in the care of his new girlfriend, Grace. Isolated and alone, a blizzard traps them inside the lodge as terrifying events summon specters from Grace's dark past.
What's left behind the scenes
- The dog is named Grady, after a character in Stephen King’s novel *The Shining* (1977).
- The painting in the opening scene and throughout the film is a reproduction of “L'Annunciata” by the Italian Early Renaissance artist Antonello da Messina (1430-1497).
- Grace's past cult is based on the “Heaven's Gate” cult, 39 members of which committed mass suicide, covering their faces with fabric.
