What's left behind the scenes
- Filming of some scenes took place in an old mine in the Scottish county of Midlothian.
- Some scenes were filmed in Glasgow – specifically on Washington Street.
- Filming also took place in an old prison in Peterhead – the largest town and fishing port in Aberdeenshire. It is famous for a prisoner riot in 1987, which was quelled by forces from the Special Air Service – a special forces unit of the British Armed Forces.
