Bruce Lee (1940-1972) filmed over half an hour of fight scenes for Robert Clouse's (1928-1997) action film 'Game of Death' (1978), after which work on the film was paused, allowing the actor to work on the action film 'Enter the Dragon' (1973, Robert Clouse). Before returning to filming 'Game of Death', Lee died. Six years later, in 1978, Clouse returned to 'Game of Death' and finally completed and released the action film based on previously filmed material, using a new cast including two actors replacing Lee. 'Game of Death' became very popular in Japan, resulting in demand for a new film starring Bruce Lee. Most of the filming for this film took place in Japan, and the plot of the film also unfolded there.
