What's left behind the scenes
- The short film was made during one of the many (due to lack of funding) breaks while working on "Eraserhead" (1977).
- The American Film Institute contacted cinematographer Frederick Elmes to shoot some footage, as different types of black and white cameras were being tested. David Lynch asked Elmes to shoot a short film as part of the camera testing and wrote a suitable script overnight. As a result, there are two versions of this short film, each shot on its own camera.
