- Michael Gross suggested changing his character's headwear to a Chicago Cubs baseball cap, because he himself is a fan of the club, and because there was no reason for his character to wear an Atlanta Hawks cap, except that Gross himself chose it during the filming of the 1990 film that started the franchise.
- Michael Gross is the only actor to appear in all of the films in the franchise.
- The film is set in northern Canada, but the cars shown are right-hand drive, as filming took place in South Africa.
