Short description
Year 1763. Forced into exile, the famous libertine Giacomo Casanova leaves Paris and travels to London, where he meets Marianne de Charpillon, a young prostitute to whom he is so attracted that he forgets about the other women.
What's left behind the scenes
- As soon as Vincent Lindon learned that director Benoît Jacquot intended to film a movie about Casanova, he expressed a desire to play this character. Initially, the latter did not see him as Casanova: firstly, the actor is French, and secondly, of a robust build and with a stern appearance, while the Casanova type was not like that. But the actor's incredible desire convinced the director.
