Short description
After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The film is based on Stephanie Meyer's novel “Breaking Dawn” (2008) from the “Twilight” series.
  • The film was shot concurrently with "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1" (2011). Filming began on November 1, 2010, and wrapped on April 15, 2011. Locations included Baton Rouge (Louisiana) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), as well as Vancouver (Canada).
  • During filming, both an animatronic baby and real three-week-old infants were used. Kristen Stewart preferred working with the real babies because she felt they helped her perform her role better.
  • During the filming of both parts of the film, Mackenzie Foy had a swear jar where other actors would put money if they swore in her presence. Bill Condon made the jar for her, and all the collected funds were donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
  • When Bella is driving on the highway back from Seattle, the speed limiter shows 80 km/h. In the US, miles per hour are used on speedometers, not kilometers.
  • It was previously stated that Alice cannot see parts of the possible future that involve werewolves. In this film, she sees such a future in detail.
  • Bella's eye color was brown when she arrived for her meeting with Mr. Jenks. But it was light in the car previously. And after the trip to Mr. Jenks, her eye color returns to being light.
  • The film is based on Stephanie Meyer's novel "Breaking Dawn" (2008) from the "Twilight" series.
