What's left behind the scenes

  • By Turkestan, they mean Turkmenistan, therefore government vehicles have inscriptions in Turkmen, the Third is studying phrases in Turkmen, and the national currency is the manat.
  • The film's budget was $150 million, making it the second most expensive Netflix film after Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman," which cost $175 million.
  • The opening scene featuring a car chase was originally planned to be filmed in Rome, but the idea was abandoned due to the poor quality of the road surface. Instead, filming was moved to Florence, and some scenes were shot in Siena.
  • The racetrack scene in Las Vegas was filmed in Abu Dhabi, UAE – at the Ferrari-themed park Ferrari World and on the Yas Circuit racetrack. The heroes observe from the Viceroy hotel.
  • In reality, the building described as the presidential palace is the Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi, and the round building is the headquarters of a real estate firm called Al Dar Properties, also located in Abu Dhabi.
  • Scenes at the 'airplane graveyard,' which serves as the base for the main characters, were filmed at the Mojave Air & Space Port in the southwestern United States. It houses over 1,000 old aircraft, mainly commercial ones.
  • The film was shot using cameras of 12 different models, in 16 different formats, and in 50 resolutions.
  • Several shots of Piazza del Campo – the central square of the Italian city of Siena, 80 km from Florence – were inserted into the opening scene in Florence.
  • At the end of the sixth minute, a truck damages the left side of the vehicle carrying the main characters, tearing off the side mirror. A few seconds later, the car continues moving in the frame without any signs of damage, and the mirror is clearly visible.
  • At the seventh minute, as the main characters' car circles in a square in Florence, a gray bag lies on the asphalt behind a woman with a child. In the next shot (from above), the bag is hanging on the woman's shoulder.
  • At the beginning of the film, as the heroes drive in a green car, shots from inside the car show that the roof has two sunroofs. In all exterior shots, we see that the car roof is completely green with no indication of sunroofs. It is evident that one car was used for interior shots and another for establishing shots.
  • At the 22nd minute of the film, the character 'Seven' looks into the scope of a rifle. In a wide shot, the weapon, along with the scope, is covered with camouflage netting, but in subsequent shots, the image shown through the scope itself is clear and without any interference.
  • Turkistan refers to Turkmenistan, hence the inscriptions on government vehicles are in Turkmen. The Third is studying phrases in the Turkmen language, and the national currency is the manat.
  • The scene on the track in Las Vegas was filmed in Abu Dhabi, UAE – in the Ferrari World theme park and on the Yas Circuit racetrack. The heroes observe from the Viceroy hotel building.
  • At the 22nd minute of the film, the character “Seventh” looks through the scope of a rifle. In a wide shot, the weapon, along with the scope, is covered with camouflage netting, however, in the following frames, the image shown through the scope itself is clear and without any interference.
