What's left behind the scenes

  • A significant portion of the indoor filming took place inside Tallinn's Ghorhall, in the same building that served as the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Taras Shevchenko for Christopher Nolan in the sci-fi action film 'Tenet' (2020).
  • The structure in the film is a tower used as an element of a fort, built at the mouth of the Thames during World War II (1939-1945). All these towers are named after their designer, Guy Maunsell (1884-1961). According to specifications, army forts consisted of 7 armed towers, each weighing 750 tons. Their purpose was to prevent German aviation from bombing English ports and mining busy sea routes. The 'Red Sands' fort (installed in November 1943) and six of the seven towers of the 'Shivering Sands' fort still survive today.
