What's left behind the scenes
- The myth that trolls fear thunder arose because the ancient Scandinavians believed that the god of thunder Thor hunted giants and killed them with a hammer strike – lightning.
- The director and screenwriter were influenced during work on the film, in particular, by the works of Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez (1927-2014), Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes (1928-2012), and Chilean poet and prose writer Roberto Bolaño (1953-2003).
- Preparing for the role, Eva Melander gained weight, and makeup before the start of each shooting day took four hours. She always started getting makeup done at 2 a.m.
