As Felicitas' life is turned upside down, she doesn't know if her nightmares are taking over or if something bigger is trying to control her - and the only way to find out the truth is her best friend Natascha who is locked up in an asylum.
What's left behind the scenes
- Initially, the film was supposed to be an hour and a half long, but the plot was completely rewritten twice, each time undergoing a radical change, and as a result, the film's duration increased. Filming began in 2012 in Thailand, and it later proved impossible to reshoot the footage, so the material shot there was significantly altered during post-production by adding new lines to scenes and supplementing the storyline with new facts. To reshoot scenes already filmed in Bangkok four years prior, the actress playing the main character, Esther Maas, was filmed against a green screen.
