Short description
Tessa Young is a dedicated student, dutiful daughter and loyal girlfriend to her high school sweetheart. What's left behind the scenes
- The film is based on a fanfiction about the pop group One Direction.
- Initially, the film rights were sold to Paramount Pictures, but Anna Todd wanted more creative freedom than they were willing to offer, so the rights were bought back and eventually sold to Aviron Pictures.
- Josephine Langford confessed in one interview that she read the first few chapters of Anna Todd's novel of the same name on the Wattpad platform several years before she was cast as Tessa.
- Josephine Langford had only a week to prepare for the role of Tessa Young. She read the book and the script on the plane heading to the filming location.
