Short description

When an innovative modern architect flees post-war Europe, he is given the opportunity to rebuild his legacy. Set during the dawn of the modern United States (in Pennsylvania), his wife joins him, and their lives are forever changed by a demanding, wealthy patron.

The film was first announced in 2020. Joel Edgerton, Marion Cotillard, Mark Rylance, Sebastian Stan, Vanessa Kirby, Stacy Martin, Isaac de Bankolé, Raffey Cassidy, and Alessandro Nivola were initially slated to star. After several delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, half of the cast left in 2022. Edgerton, Cotillard, and Rylance were replaced by Adrian Brody, Felicity Jones, and Guy Pearce, respectively.
